Calgary, July 15, 2018 (EnergySpotlight) – Kinder Morgan has their Second Quarter conference call this week, as protests are unlikely to stop. Although arrests are down…
After the busy month of April — protest related arrests hit a peak of 170 in one week (Including Elizabeth May)— there have only been a few arrests per week.
It should be noted that a decrease in arrests may be due to the fact that penalties have gotten steeper, which could include a $5,000 fine and seven to 14 days in jail.
Early on in the activism stage, those that were arrested for “civil or criminal contempt” See: Elizabeth May … were either fined $500 or ordered to do community service if they were unable to pay.
